Overview

The Taro Tree Coral, also referred to as a Kenya Tree Coral. It has a thick trunk, like a tree, and many branches giving it an arboreal appearance. The parent colony of these coral frags was acquired from one of the aquariums in our company and then quarantined and given a health inspection before being propagated.

It is not normally considered a threat to hard corals, but may itself be disturbed by their presence. The Taro Tree Coral relies less on the symbiotic algae within it, and depends more on obtaining outside food. Microplankton, marine snow, and dissolved materials should make up the bulk of its diet.

LiveAquaria® Aquacultured Coral frags are mounted to a fired ceramic plug that can be affixed to live rock anywhere in the aquarium with gel super glue or epoxy.

Customer Testimonials

Deandra B Owensboro , KY
I love my Kenya tree. It branches out during the day and bunches up at night. It sways in the water flow like a tree in the wind. It grows relatively fast if fed regularly.
Brent L Chester , SC
This coral likes to multiply. I have had many branches break off and settle in differant locations in my reef tank. It is very hardy. It becomes very bushy after my Halides come on.
