My two Blue Gudgeon Gobies are exquisitely beautiful and extremely shy, so the occasional glimpse of them swimming is special treat. They spend most of their time hiding under a rock with just their bright iridescent blue eyes and tiny faces visible. Often they "snuggle" alongside my Firefish and Yellow Watchman Gobies, forming an amusing, appealing row of tiny faces peeking out. Temperamentally, they are much like my Firefish. They only come out when they think the coast is clear, then swim with their long pencil-thin blue bodies loosely intertwined. I recommend them to anyone who especially loves Gobies or who enjoys watching the daily dramas that take place in hidden lower areas of a reef aquarium. My two rely on each other for courage, so I suspect they might feel more confident in a small school.

I got three of these beautiful bright blue fishes. they’ve been absolutely fantastic and stunning to look at. Never bothering another tankmate. It does take some time for them to trust you. But given time and plenty of food they will come out.
